Me and my girls!
This pic was taken a few weeks ago, but I thought it was appropriate to post since I'm celebrating my first week withOUT chemo in a month ; this is what it's all about!
PS - I think we sometimes terrify Madeline, she seems to be wise for her years in knowing that her family in a little (or a lot!) crazy!

Ladies who lunch
Just your regular 80 degree day the first week November! Since the big girls are both home on Tuesdays and the weather was begging for it, we enjoyed an al fresco lunch before lots of playtime in the backyard.
(But, no, no one should believe there's global warming...)

Word(less) Wednesday
These girls ... most pictures were taken on days Daddy was out of otwn or had to leave early.
The day they insisted their stuffed animal friends wear headbands : )
Funny faces because we had to get to school early so I could lead an early morning conference call ... they were not fans : )

Newspaper soup
As Anna was looking over my shoulder while I clipped coupons* a few weeks ago, we came up with the idea of cutting out all the pictures of food and making "soup" when Charlotte was up from her nap. I'm pretty sure they've done this at school, but I prefer to take credit for the idea : ) The girls love anything involving glue and scissors and had a blast choosing their "ingredients"; it was a fun and easy craft project that used something going into the recycle bin anyway!
* No, I'm not a "couponer", but I do like to look through our hard copy Sunday paper and clip coupons for anything we will use in the near future

Braids, bows, and slippers
Miss Charlotte is a fan of hair accessories: specific colored hair ties, clips, barettes, bows and headbands, and has started requesting styles other than her usual ponytail, including "pink tails" and "Elsa and Anna braids." I'm pretty sure anyone that can fashion a half decent french braid on a wiggly three year old diva deserves a medal, so I'm waiting for mine to arrive.

And of course Anna needed to pose too : ) (It was her water day at school, hence the swim attire)

Lately
Sorry for the delayed posting around here, I'd like to totally blame blogger access issues, but really we've just been busy. I hope to get the backlog updated, so feel free to scroll through from time to time and see what's new, and my goal is to get better about posting from my phone since that's where most of the action takes place these days. In the meantime, here's a picture from this morning that made my heart smile : )

Ride 'em cowgirl!
Sometimes silliness ensues at our house while we're trying to eat breakfast and get out the door; it's hard to stay focused when you have such wild imaginations ... ride 'em cowgirls!

Car cartin'
Anna is obsessed with the car carts at Kroger. You know, the ones that are impossible to steer and that the kids only want to stay in for 5 minutes of the shopping trip? On this particular trip, she spotted one in a cart corral in the parking lot with her eagle-like eyes. Ironically, the same eagle-eyes cannot spot toys or shoes that need to be put away even when right in front of her. At least they look cute :)

Reading rainbow
The moments that the girls can play together is getting longer each day. Charlotte simply adores her big sister and Anna takes her role very seriously as protector, teacher, and best friend. They love to read together and it's just the sweetest!
