Super girls!

Anna had a blast at her buddy, Adam's, birthday party and the superhero gear that came with it ... of course Charlotte had to get in on the action at home later : )

Spring?

I planted flowers over the weekend, excited to embrace the first official day of Spring (and UK's win) ...

... and then I travelled to Buffalo later in the week and this happened. Maybe not so much.

Checking a bag?

Who needs toys when you can entertain yourself for hours in a suitcase, errr, boat! Double down win because it gave me time to actually unpack after our Spring Break trip to Florida : )

A little R&R (a spring break series)

The rest of our spring break was spent enjoying the amazing pool at our hotel and a few evening excursion in Orlando. The girls had a blast, our villa was amazing, and we're still talking about all of the fun we had!

Pool fun!!

Aquagirl!

Water baby!

The amazing kids pool at our resort!

Fruity drinks are a must on vacation!

We had some friends on the lanai : )

Gorgeous views!

Loved our lanai!

Super excited to "see" a princess : )

Anna finally warmed up to the statue ...

And Charlotte loved Piglet : )

We had a great dinner at the Rainforest Cafe in Downtown Disney

Gettin' froggy with it : )

Another carousel!

Anna surprised everyone when she forced us to stop for a picture on our way out ... the same place she'd refused to pose on our way in ; )

My pretty, big girl!

Little leprechauns

My favorite Irish blessing:

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

We couldn't let our Irish heritage holiday slip by just because we were on vacation ; )

My little Irish blessings : )

Making dreams come true: Our day at Disney (a spring break series)

We couldn't go to Orlando without one itty-bitty day at Disney; also known as one really long day jam-packed with fun! We got up early the first full day of our trip and made our way to the happiest place on Earth and had a blast! Anna has traditionally been terrified of characters, but I thought with her mermaid makeover I'd use one of our fast passes for one-on-one a meet-and-greet with Ariel and maybe she'd change her tune. Nope, she did not want to meet or greet, she preferred to wail, cling, cry, and ask to exit A-S-A-P. That's OK, not having to stand in character lines sped our day along and we were able to enjoy the sights, sounds, rides, and wonder of Disney! In a few years, when we're nap-free, and everyone is a little more independent, we'll do a big Disney trip over more days, but for now our one-day excursion was magical enough for us!

First ride on the carousel!

Carousel selfie!

It's a small world attempt at a selfie : )

Anna's mermaid makeover at the Pirates League

Mermaid Anna!

The Country Bear Jamboree brought back memories for Gigi

After lunch we stumbled on the show at Cinderella's castle, it was a lot of fun!

The Tomorrowland peoplemover

Charlotte was a little confused by the ride, but that didn't stop me from attempting a selfie : )

So happy!

Cheesin' on Dumbo, it was fun to fly!

An afternoon nap was in order after a morning of fun! While Charlotte snoozed, Anna and Daddy rode the Astro-glider, one of the original rides at Magic Kingdom!

Last ride of the day on the carousel! (Is it just me or does Anna look 3 going on 13 here?)

Until next time, Disney!

We couldn't leave without mouse ears ...
... that you wear at breakfast the day after your visit : )

Flying through the clouds (a spring break series)

We decided to head south for Spring Break this year and took Gigi along for the ride as a way to thank her for all of the help she provides our family. We didn't' have a specific destination in mind and jumped on the discounted and direct tickets to Orlando when we saw them pop-up. I wasn't sure what to think about taking two kids under four on a plane, but they did great and loved "flying through the clouds."

Airport selfie!

Pre-flight hugs!

Buckle up! Don't worry, the girls didn't share a seat, Charlotte was still young enough to be an "infant in arms" and rode tandem with Momma

Mesmerized by the in-flight TVs, and worth every bit of the $5.99 we paid for that service!

I love Anna's arm around her sister!

Hands down, the rented minivan ("Minnie") topped the charts of Anna's list of favorite things about our trip. It was pretty handy and the auto sliding doors spoiled us, but we'll run our Ford into the ground until considering one for keeps.

The result of a long day that included a flight, a car, and an big afternoon at the pool; taken at 5:30pm
